Stacy Sykora is a two-time All-American, a three-time Olympian (2000, 2004 & 2008), and a Silver Medalist. She is most well known for her passionate and dynamic play as a Libero, which has won her many fans globally. Sykora was a trailblazer as the first to ever play the Libero position for the US Women’s Volleyball team, setting a high standard for those who followed. Her career didn’t start out as a Libero though. At Texas A&M she played three sports. She was an outside hitter on the women's volleyball team earning All-American honors twice. She also played basketball for the Aggies. Her freshman year she ran track and field and was the Southwest Conference champion in the heptathlon.
