Texas Sports Hall of Fame friends and family;
I share with many of you the feelings of sadness, despair and anger after the senseless death of George Floyd. While destruction of property and lawlessness is not the path forward, it is abundantly clear that we must engage with each other outside of traditional methods to move our country forward.
Here at the TSHOF there is no place for racism, bigotry, hatred or divisiveness. We take seriously our part in honoring our inductees and preserving the role that sports has played in the state of Texas … regardless of race, creed, orientation or political affiliation. We believe strongly that the world of sports can help us heal, help us communicate, and help us become better. Each of us.
